Director of Human Resources, Global Resource Development

The Director of Human Resources for Global Resource Development (DHR) will direct and lead the HR function including workforce planning, performance management, organizational design, change management and employee relations for JDC’s global resource development team. The DHR will work with HR colleagues throughout the organization to oversee recruiting, learning and development, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the department's procedures, goals and talent strategy.


  • Develops Global RD staffing plan including vision, structure and strategy.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes, in partnership with other HR colleagues, best practices for recruitment including, interviews, hires, onboarding and training of staff in the department.
  • Handles performance and talent management, team wellbeing and engagement, disputes, discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to develop goals, strategy and plans related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Coordinates and implements processes and training to support the department’s human resource compliance and strategy.
  • Collaborates with Global Learning and Development team to plan and implement L&D strategies and interventions consistent with departmental goals and requirements.
  • Serve as a member of the global HR Directors team to develop and coordinate HR policies practices, procedures and strategies across the organization.
  • Serve as a member of the RD Senior Management Team to help develop strategy and policies that strengthen the Resource Development operation. 


  • Experience in organization development and change management.
  • Strong effective communication in writing, business presentations, and interpersonal communication.
  • Highly demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and employee development.
  • Commitment to and interest in employee relations and communication and compassionate leadership style
  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful and strategic advice and input across the department and on the senior executive team.
  • Experience in and the ability to lead in an environment of constant change
  • Non-profit experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office suite of products,
  • Ability to travel overseas 5-6 times annually
  • At least a Bachelor's degree required. Graduate degree is a plus
  • Familiarity with non-profit fundraising a plus
