About the Position

We are looking for a Resource Development Manager to join the JDC-Elka team, reporting to JDC-Elka's Director of Strategic Partnerships

Position description:

  • Oversight of JDC-Elka's donor accounts and key fundraising functions
  • Partner relations – Proactive and ongoing communication with existing partners to ensure maximum engagement
  • Manage grant applications and report writing processes in coordination with JDC RD (Resource Development department) and Elka finance and program staff, including collecting narrative information and budgets, guiding writers, editing documents, managing sign-off.
  • Planning and accompanying missions, physical and virtual, to JDC-Elka programs for donors and partners, including public speaking, group facilitation and material development
  • Managing marketing + PR opportunities, including interface with MarCom in New York and JDC Israel's Marcom team in Jerusalem
  • Development and management of marketing collateral (videos/stills, content for newsletters, social media posts, etc.)
  • Act as resource for all JDC-Elka's materials in English and manage translations to English
  • Supporting the director of strategic partnerships in JDC Board Member engagement, including development of content and materials, taking part in planning, logistics and execution of meetings, and outreach strategies
  • Coordinating initiatives which promote relationship-building activities on behalf of JDC-Elka – for example webinars with philanthropic and professional partners

Position requirements are:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of the Jewish philanthropic environment and fundraising, especially North American environment – at least 3 years experience  
  • Familiarity with the JDC resource development system and personnel – preferred
  • Familiarity with NGOs and government services
  • English and Hebrew – completely fluent
  • Strong English writing and oral presentation skills – Hebrew writing preferred
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • Exceptional organizational skills; self-starter
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook), familiarity with Salesforce a plus
