Role Description- Donor Relations Officer – maternity replacement (6-9 months)


JDC, the world’s leading Jewish humanitarian organization, seeks to hire a dynamic individual with superior organizational skills to fill a position as a Donor Relations Officer. The candidate must have an authentic passion for JDC's mission, experience in coordinating and managing diverse projects, and be an articulate communicator skilled at working as part of a team.


The Donor Relations team serves as a critical component of JDC's global Resource Development (RD) department and provides support to front line fundraisers throughout the world, along with engaging in active stewardship of relationships with individual donors, foundations, and Jewish Federations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive management of donor relationships and partnerships to further JDC's resource development goals
  • Preparation of specialized written materials including writing and editing grant applications and customized proposals, reports, and other materials
  • Tracking and management of information related to cultivation, solicitation, and donor stewardship
  • Accompaniment of funders to visit JDC projects in Israel, including public speaking and group facilitation
  • Developing expertise in JDC's global programming to serve as a key conduit of program information to front line fundraisers
  • Other duties as assigned

What qualifications does this job require?

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • English mother tongue; Hebrew moderate to high
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, PPT, Outlook
  • Knowledge of the American Jewish philanthropic environment an advantage
  • Writing, public speaking, and presentation skills, including editing of donor documents, preparation of compelling PowerPoints and speaking to groups


Additional details:

  • Employment type: Full-time, temporary position (6-9 months)
  • Location: Jerusalem
  • Work model: Hybrid (2 days a week from the office)
  • Flexibility needed to work late afternoon hours (1-2 times a week)
  • Reports to: Donor Relations Team Leader
  • Start date: Immediate
