ImpactWell brings Israeli medical innovation to developing countries!
The innovative health initiative ImpactWell, by the JDC and the Ruderman Family Foundation, uses Israeli medical technologies to reduce diseases and improve life expectancy in remote and vulnerable populations, especially women and children in developing countries.
At a conference held at the Herzog Fox & Neeman law offices, the achievements of the pilot program that operated successfully in Ghana, Africa, over the past year were presented.
As part of the initiative, mobile clinics are operated, reaching remote and isolated villages, most of which lack water and electricity infrastructure. The program provides access to advanced health services through innovative Israeli technologies, enabling disease diagnosis, treatment, and training of local medical teams.
The technologies include virtual reality (VR) systems for trauma care training, portable X-ray machines for tuberculosis detection, mobile blood testing equipment, smart monitoring of water sources to combat malaria, and much more. Local teams undergo comprehensive training in the use of these technologies, thereby leading significant changes in the country’s health services. This activity not only provides immediate care and shows positive results in the areas where it operates but also strengthens the capabilities of the local medical system in the long term.
The Ruderman Family Foundation and the JDC have invested significant efforts and resources to ensure access to life-saving health services for those who previously had no access. Together, we are building bridges between people in developing countries, the Jewish world, and the State of Israel.”
