Joint ELKA is seeking: Partnerships Development Manager

The Manager is responsible for maintaining a robust donor ecosystem for Joint ELKA. To do so, the manager works closely with senior ELKA professionals and Management to define short- and long-term goals and connects with existing and potential donors to seek the strategic partnerships necessary to realize the goals.   

 Responsibilities include: 

  •  Oversee ELKA's donor accounts and key fundraising functions  
  • Manage grant applications and report writing processes in coordination with Resource Development (RD) department including collecting narrative information and budgets, guiding writers, editing documents, managing sign-off 
  • Co-ordinate initiatives which promote relationship-building activities on behalf of ELKA– for example webinars with philanthropic and professional partners 
  • Plan and accompanying missions, physical and virtual, to ELKA programs for donors and partners, including public speaking, group facilitation and material development (i.e. ppt presentations) 
  • Provide content and identify marketing + PR opportunities for MarCom in New York and JDC's Israel spokesperson in Jerusalem, for newsletters, websites, other media etc. 
  • Act as resource for all materials in English 
  • Manage of Board advisory committee – all aspects of planning, content, and logistics 
  • Participate in JDC board meetings – bring topics to agenda, prepare content, participate 
  • Long-term planning, organizational identity, narrative, branding 
  • Ongoing management duties 
  • Develop marketing collateral – web site, presentations 

Position requirements are: 

  • At least a bachelor's degree; Master degree – preferred 
  • Knowledge of the American Jewish philanthropic environment and fundraising 
  • Familiarity with NGOs and government services   
  • English and Hebrew –fluent  
  • Strong English writing and oral presentation skills 
  • Ability to multitask  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills  
  • Exceptional organizational skills; self-starter 
  • Familiarity with the JDC resource development system and personnel – preferred  
  • Team player with leadership capabilities 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, PPT, Outlook
